About Foxdenton 

Situated in a prime location, near both the M62 and M60 motorways and only two miles from Oldham town centre, Foxdenton is set to deliver over 700,000 sq ft of employment land and up to 500 new homes in, creating around 2,000 new jobs in the process. On its own, Foxdenton will cater for around half of Oldham Council’s employment land requirements.

Based on a masterplan developed by Oldham Council and Foxdenton LLP planning permission was granted for the development of Foxdenton in 2014. Please click here to view the plan:Masterplan_-_Reduced_PDF.pdf.

The plans for Foxdenton include: 

  • Around 700,000 sq ft of office, business and industrial space
  • Up to 500, high quality, new homes
  • A 25 acre park, along with scenic footpaths and cycle routes
  • A new link road through the park

Project Status

Work on the new link road, connecting the A663 and the B6189 to begin in May 2017.

Timeline

  • November 2011 – Site allocated by Oldham Council for development
  • July 2013 – Planning application submitted to Oldham Council, based on masterplan developed by Grasscroft Property and Seddon
  • February 2014 – Hybrid Planning Application approved by Oldham Council
  • February 2015 – Consultation held on design of new park for Foxdenton
  • February 2016 – Tree clearance work begins
  • May 2017 – Work on link road through Foxdenton Park begins

Foxdenton will deliver a number of major economic benefits, including:

  • £5.4m new resident spending per year
  • £5m in New Homes Bonus payments
  • Over £830,000 per year in Council Tax payments
